ST. LOUIS, MO - Watlow introduces a new tubular element with multiple coils and/or thermocouples inside one sheath for quick, accurate temperature measurement, reasonably priced. This patent-pending method of packaging a thermocouple inside a heater with one or more resistance coils, is the first tubular heater in the industry with three-phase capability.
This three-phase capability means only one element is required thereby lowering amperage as well as reducing installation time and overall cost. Multicoil three-phase heaters can be single ended with three leads for three-phase wye hook up.
Watlow can customize the heaters with two- or three-coils depending on diameter requirements. One or more of the coils can be resistance wires or thermocouples. Internal thermocouples have high-limit sensing, are extremely accurate and responsive and reduce assembly costs since no additional parts are required.
Tubular multicoil heaters can be formed into virtually any configuration and are available in standard materials such as Incoloy®, 304 and 316 stainless steel.
Multicoil tubular heaters can be customized for applications in industrial processing, medical, plastics, semiconductor, plating and oven heating.
