Prior to Watlow, Griffith was president and CEO of Accubuilt Inc., a manufacturer of specialty vehicles based in Lima, Ohio. Before Accubuilt, he worked at Copeland Corporation, a subsidiary of Emerson Electric Company, where he was vice president and general manager of the condensing unit division, as well as director of product service and refrigeration marketing.

"The heater business group is a new structure for Watlow, but is a fundamental part of our strategic plan, which has the ultimate goal of developing operational and functional excellence in every part of the business as well as clear LOB strategic direction," says Tom LaMantia, Watlow vice president of operations. "One of our first priorities for the new group was to hire an individual with an exceptionally strong management background and a proven track record. Steve has both of those qualities and overall is a very good fit for Watlow."

Griffith holds an engineering management degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of South Dakota. In addition to his industry experience, Steve is a licensed pilot. He and his wife moved to St. Louis from Troy, Ohio.
